PROJECT: 05-DJC:174.9

This is Deirdre's Breast Cancer Diary. I try to update this blog at least every evening. This is an easy way for me to keep a journal of the experience, and at the same time, I can keep my friends and family up-to-date on what is going on. I find it is not so bad to have cancer, but it is awfully depressing to talk about it. I hope you laugh as you read along. You can find the beginning in February ...in the archives. Uneventful Event

I went to the doctor's office yesterday (medical oncologist). He gave me a flu shot, a shot of Lupron (which shuts down my ovaries and keeps me post-menopausal), and a prescription for Arimidex (hormone therapy for my cancer).

    being post-menopausal can be a good thing... think about it... other than the obvious monthly reasons..but... dont MOST women who are post grow hair?? Albeit..it might be a beard..but its HAIR!!.. (hope that made you laugh!) hugs from Ohio

    I am growing hair and I am not postmenopausal by any stretch of the imagination so you're damned if you do and damned if you don't.
